why doo you wan the 400+ one, its made by weightedblanket.net and does not even come in PVC or fabrics i like. ugggggggh. i hateeee fleece. grr.

It is big enough to cover the whole bed (not just a fraction of it--grrrr), and with the same weight distribution as my current one. (Okay, so maybe I want just a wee bit more heaviness--sue me!)

I can understand your need for mass loading. But I wouldn't throw the whole gamut of your sensory issues on your 'rents at once. Maybe just say you want weight, but in a fabric that doesn't cause you distress?

oops... report has already been given to mom. i dont know if she has read it yet and i will find out soon. i think she will accept it pretty well.

either way if by tonight she has not read it i might be able to pull it back from her and do a new one on lead aprons only.

When in doubt, ask an autistic. Chances are, they're obsessed with what you need to know.

oh and also i am with a company looking for a 360 wrap around possibly around 400 dollars. wont be horrible. ive seen custom weighted blankets cost more.

I think you could get a low-end front-only PVC-lead apron and buy the belt that's meant to transfer some of the apron's weight off a standing x-ray tech's shoulders and onto her hips (buckles in front, with a wide, strong, stretchy panel over the lower back) separately. That'd save you a couple hundred bucks and might be just as good if you only want to wear it while sitting or lying on your back.

I hope your parents get it. And am mystified that they might not, really. Of course, I go 'cost-benefit analysis in increased-happiness-per-dollar is exceptionally high' and have to remind myself that this is not part of the normal rules of gift-giving.
