I said my first words at 8 months. I skipped the one-word stage and went straight to saying "Where's Daddy?" one day, scaring Mum to death. I immediately started regular use of short sentences.
I was speaking in longer scentences by 9 months, was learning to read by age 3 off Dad, but only really mastered it at 4.
My classic Autistic twin started saying single words at 2, and was speaking in longer sentences by 3. He learned to read by about age 7.

I didn't say a single word until age 2 1/2. Then I spoke in sentences, and my speech was very coherent.

I learned the basics of reading at age 5. By age 8, I was able to read college-level material with ease, and did so for fun.

I never spoke until I was about 5 before that I don't think I said anything or very much. I taught myself to tell the time when I was 11 and the alphabet and i read my first book. The Teachers said "I lacked self confidence but because I was scared and very quiet most of the time, no took any notice which is what I wanted."

I was good at gymnastics, netball and running. All I used to do with my friend was gymnastic, dancing and singing.
My mom never bought no school photos. She never came along to no parent/teacher interviews, ever.
