They're called games because they're supposed to be fun. They're designed to build sexual tension.

Fun??! !! It does seem that way, to them....it's things like this that really remind me how different to 'regular people' I am. I spend so much time being confused by people in normal situations, I certainly can't imagine getting THAT close to a person who finds confusing me further fun.

It escapes me totally what could be fun about pretending you're not interested in someone when you are, alternately breaking off and resuming communication, etc., and generally keeping them in a very worried and confused state. :( I don't like people who make me feel like that.

Somebody wanting to tell someone how they felt, though, and just having difficulty doing it because they were shy I understand completely.

OKAY, me myself is a moron sitting there ranting on about dinosaurs and politics.

"Where did I go wrong??" :(

I don't really know the answer to your question. Personally, I think that dinosaurs and politics are kind of cool.

Yes all the time, they also like pulling scams and conning people too then blaming the victim for falling for it.

Hm, I always thought it was how people protected themselves from rejection. Not putting all their cards on the table, etc. That way if it doesn't work out at least you didn't make yourself totally emotionally vulnerable all at once.

I'm pretty sure you're right.

Personally, I feel lucky that I'm asexual.

I'd say it's that plus playing hard to get, as people always want what they can't/don't have.. if it's readily available to them, they lose interest as there's no thrill of the hunt & conquest/victory.

As for politics & dinosaurs, they're not incredibly odd interests or anything - but there's a time and a place for everything, don't bring them up and talk excessively or exclusively about them in social situations where it's simply not appropriate to do so. Sure, keep your interests and talk about them, but to do it to the extent that it's off putting or awkward for whoever you're talking with.. that's not going to help you any.

I feel grateful that my reproduction hormones have subsided after menopause. I am no longer goaded to make contact with males to satisfy my hormonal cravings. I don't know if men have this release, though, mine was a natural situation brought on by age and being a genetic woman. I am forever grateful to an understanding nature/G-D.

I don't think "do neurotypicals pull this manipulative bs in dating?" has quite gone out of style, nor has it been solved. If it were interesting 4 years ago, why not now?
