My son endures this quite a bit. It distracts him from school lessons, and it makes him very uneasy at times. He's tried to explain it to me. Thanks for the clarification. He's only nine. A few times, he seemed very distressed. But, I've been able to talk him through things. I do think this inner fixations cause attention problems in school.
