Employment for Aspergers is only about 10%, from what I've read of the research (one study said higher, though still <50%, but it was a high-end group).
That can't be right. I bet that more than 10% are college/university grads. Based on the people I've me, I'm sure that most ofthem could get a job.
P.S. I don't mean non-mild as in disabled. Obsessions, hypersensitivity, childish behaviour, etc., these are where we're not always mild and this isn't disability.

In the video someone posted about the autistic couple in love, the woman's father said, "It's harder to be high functioning than low because you're just so close to normal, but not there. It's frustrating."

I thought that summed it up well.

Yeah, some just don't realize that! :?

One of the series I liked best was Columbo. People thought he was a BUM, an idiot, etc.... But he always used that AGAINST them! HECK, he once changed the address of a suspect, and just sat back and watched his idiot commanders stupidity play out. The commander planted evidence in COLUMBOS place and, when he gloated to columbo, columbo basically said YEP, you found the gun there, etc.... ONE PROBLEM! All this stuff is MINE! His commander basically, in trying to frame the suspect, framed HIMSELF!

People would say that about me, and I've had no problems getting jobs in the past, but I've never been able to keep them. I just keep falling apart.

I have three university degrees. Having a university degree has nothing to do with employability, just the kinds of jobs you could apply for.

Well screw university. I could be a musician. I'll play lead guitar in a band and we'll dominate Canada's underground punk scene. This plan is garanteed to work.

From reading these forums for the past few months I've realised that my AS is actually quite mild, it's just the so-called co-morbidities that f****d me up.
