Monotone Robotic High-Pitched?

I only use monotone to talk to people when they have pissed me off.

I find that I don't talk monotone, but I can get really high pitched at times when I'm excited.

And...this is my 100th post *high pitched excited voice*

I hate my voice when I hear it. Before I knew about Aspergers, I had a co-worker who used to sing to the tune of Spiderman: "Joe Maurone, Joe Maurone, speaks to me in monotone...". I asked him why he sang that, and he just laughed...I do tend to mumble, and/or start out strong and trail out...but I've also been told that my voice gets comically high pitched when I get upset...

now I know...and knowing is half the battle...

In my diagnosis letter it said my voice is of 'normal' speed and pitch. I thought in my diagnosis meeting that my voice was a little monotone until they gave me the diagnosis and the relife I felt made it a little more animated.

I myself can hear that at times it can be quite monotone slower and deeper then times when it is more tuneful and faster. I sound very young for my age and like I have a slight cold.

I have been told a couple of times that I sound monotone. A lot of people are scared of me, so maybe more would say so too if they wern't!

Does any one sound like Mr. Roboto?

Well, I am the modern man, who hides behind the mask...so no one else can see my true identity.
But I think I sound more like Dennis DeYoung when I say that...

I speak too soflty most of the time. When I am excited or trying to say "something" without being interrupted... I speak fast( or so I have been told).
Sometimes I can tell I am being monotone. Ohhh while I was an instructor (I am in the military) I was always being accused of "doing" accents. What they didn't realize was that I wasn't trying to do them. The most common one was Dr. Evil, it annoyed the crap out of me!
I think because I couldn't help it.
Oh and when I have heard my own voice I think it is very nasally (is that even a word?)

my voice is constantly changing every minute. it has a sort of 'preset' mode, but rarely stays there for long.

I talk relatively normally most of the time, but when I get excited or stressed I speak in a monotone, slightly slurred voice.

My under control speaking voice is awesome for public speaking, so i've been told. I sound like an announcer when I read in class, etc. Big booming voice, and I'm no longer monotone is my conversation voice. I'm always a notch louder than I should be, and I'm incapable of whispering. I sometimes mumble monote, and when excited or startled I yelp. I may not be monotone, but my speaking pitches are fairly close to each other.
