Well, it has already come in handy. I have always been on a collision course with my surroundings. Now that I finally have an official diagnosis, I have had serious talks with my family and told them in detail about Aspergers and how the traits have affected me and my life. Now they understand that I am not trying to be difficult and that I am inevitably different. Now that they do understand, they have been nothing but supportive.

AS, sensory overload esp due to noise and dyscalculia made me quit school early. I needed help badly but didn`t get it and as a result I can`t get a decent job. With this diagnosis I hope to finally get the help I should have been given over the last 2 decades. The next time I see my psychiatrist she will help me in finding out how to proceed with this. I have little in the way of formal education but I am rather knowledgable, due to interests, curiosity and obsessions. Now I suddenly have rights. I sure hope I will actually get the help I need because unfortunately my autistic traits are severe enough for me to require some assistance in getting started.

Thats what they think I have, that and being psychotic! hahahaha Congrats and welcome to the club.
