I'd actually enjoy being outdoor more... =( Anyways, i can't really say i changed much ever since i was 18-19 =/ And my face hardly changed ever since i was 13 (me thinks). I don't know if that's also relevant, but exposure to the cold lowers cell activity, keeps them in "stasis" , as the concept's been used in a few sci-fi movies :P .

I'm 15 but I look like I'm 11 or 12.

When Sheldon invented his theory of the connection between personality type and physical type, one of the symptoms of the "cerebrotronic/ectomorph" type (the introvert/intelectual type) was "young appearence".

If this is true and introvert/intelectuals indeed look younger (low exposition to UV? low levels of "mature" hormones?), this is a point in favour of the theory that "Asperger Sydrome" is an attempt to pathologize introversion (note that I am not saying that I agree with these theory).

My son's 16, and he looks 11 or 12. He's got the brain of a guy in his 20's

Poor guy. Today at the doctor's office, the nurse (who was sticking him for a hemoglobin test) was cooing at him like he was a tween. He had to ask, "Do you know how old I am?" and state his age so she'd stop it.

I especially had to laugh at the situation (and the Spiderman bandaid). It was just so wrong on so many levels.

I'm 35, and I look 35. It's a hazard of having teenagers.

I think many of us can seem younger due to a combination of issues, including our demeanor/body language/dress, but obviously entailing physical factors that could be explained by (earlier mentioned) issues such as not getting out in the sun as much as other populations, and less animation in our faces. Those who are "clean living" (not smoking, no or very low alcohol consumption) will no doubt enjoy some youth retaining benefits as a result of their life-style as well.

People say I look young and I've heard since grad school (91-93) that autistics look younger than the general population. There's never been scientific evidence to back it up though.

People say I look around 35.

well it is a form of developmental delay so I guess it applies to other forms of developmental delay as well that is if it applies to aspies in the 1st place

I don't think I look young. That may just be because I'm tall and grow significant facial hair.

I would attempt to guess, but I am one of those people who can't look at another person and guess their age. It's something I have never picked up on. You look very young, though, I know that!

I have that problem too. I'm always surprised at people's ages. I'd say 19-21, but i'm probably wrong about that.

When I was eighteen, nobody had any idea how old I was. People thought it varied from ten to twenty-three (I know, huge difference for that age.).

I'm twenty now, and I can barely even pass for the 12 and under rates for movies. I hear 15-19 a lot nowadays for my age. I've filled out a lot more since I was eighteen so that helps. Plus I'm mature for my age. The only things holding me back is that I'm petite and when I stand next to my 5'8" mom, people automatically assume I'm younger rather than when I'm by myself.

What I really hate, though, is the shocked look I get from random people when I step out of my car, like I'm too young to be driving or something. I understand that look from kids, but not adults.

I've also noticed that the older the person is, the younger they think I am. But if they're in my age range, they know better.

I don't think I started out like that. I may have developed a bit early but now perhaps I look like I could be in college.

still haven't ever grown a full mustache and beard.

People usually assume that I am 10-15 years younger than I am. My face haven`t really changed since early/mid teens.

It is obviously not true for all Aspies, though, and NTs can look younger than their age, as well. My NT mother does. But it might be one of the signs a doctor can look for?

I'm twenty but often mistaken for 15-17. I was rather embarrassed when (probably nine months ago) a couple of thirteen- or fourteen-year-old girls hit on me, presumably for that reason. I was ordering food. The people behind the counter didn't seem fazed by any of this either until, once the girls had left, one guy made some silly remark and, realizing what had happened, I revealed my real age to him. He was kind of surprised, then he said something about jailbait and I agreed.

On several occasions I've even been accused of lying about my age.
