Nope, can't give directions. I can see the route in my head, but there are never any useful names on the map, so I can't convey it to other people. And sometimes the maps themselves aren't in a useful format. Frequently I would be walking around my college campus and people in cars would stop and ask how to get to a building. The campus wasn't big and I certainly knew it well enough, but I thought of it in terms of walking paths and always forgot that some of the paths were actually roads. So I would just stand there, trying to work out how to drive to the building in question, and probably looking pretty clueless.
As for the "eight years from now" question... If they're asking where I will be in eight years, then I don't know. And if they're asking where I want to be in eight years, then I don't know that either. Anyway, why should life be linear?
