A world of cheeses
Deliciously made for you and me
Flavors like Provolone and Brie
Each with its own ethnicity.
So many cheeses
Are available all around the world for you to eat
Especially good with crackers and meat
A nice yummy treat.

Thousands of cheeses
The texture of some can be real gooey
Others are quite firm and chewy
Some are better when mildewy.
Bountiful cheeses
When you take a big whiff a few
Will make you want to spew
Especially strong is the cheese Remoudou
A real stinkeroo.

It's incredible just how many kinds there are
From countries near and far
It's really quite bizarre.
Now from the mouths of cheeses big and small
We proudly present to you
The cheese roll call.

*Wensleydale:
I am the British cheese Wensleydale, lightly
pressed and smooth textured with a subtle
milky flavor which is clean and refreshing.

*Pinky:
Welcome, Wensleydale!

*Cheddam:
G'day! I am Australian Cheddam, an
innocuous, golden yellow, rindless block
inspired by Cheddar and Edam!

*Pinky:
Welcome, Cheddam!

*Edelpilzkäse:
I am the German cheese Edelpilzkäse, a fine,
blue-veined cheese with a pale ivory paste
and very dark veins traveling vertically
through me.

*Pinky:
Welcome, Edelpil... Edel... oh, willkommen!

*Brie:
I am the French cheese Brie, a soft,
unpressed, naturally drained cow's milk with
white rind flora, molded into large flat disks
and ripened for three to four weeks.

Pinky: Thank you, cheeses! I want to eat you all!

Oh, how I like my cheeses
Cheese from around the world
Cheese is the taste that pleases
Cheese from around the world (sing with me, cheeses!)

Oh, how I like my cheeses
Cheese from around the world (everybody!)
Cheese is the taste that pleases
Cheese from around the world

Around this great big world
Around this big cheese world
Around this great big world
Around this big -- cheese -- world!

Pinky: Mmm... yummy! Narf!

Whoa....dude....like...cheese...is.....like............beautiful man. It makes everything so....green, and like.....you're having cheese......and he's cutting cheese.......and I'm riding a purple horse to the moon!

Mmmmm... cheese... is... gooooooood.

My particular faves (I know I posted this somewhere else, too):

1. sharp cheddar
2. swiss
3. port wine cheese spread (nummy!)
4. salami cheese (which is salami pieces in... cheddar, I believe)

I like other cheeses, but these are by far my favorites to snack on by themselves. And, yes, that even includes the cheese spread. I eat cheese spread without spreading it. :P

But, um, too much cheese = constipation. SO BEWARE!! !

Since I have an actual allegry to casein, I have to limit my dairy products. But I can get away with eating cheese more than drinking milk. I love a lot of cheeses:

- Blue or other moldy stuff
- Goat/sheep
- Most Italian cheeses, hard, soft or sweet
- Swiss and other swiss-like cheeses
- Fontina
- Gouda, smoked or not
- sharp US cheddar, smoked ot not
- Monterey Jack
- carious Mexican cheeses

Cheeses I don't like:

- Meunster
- White cheddar and some other hard white or yellow English cheeses
- cheese with pepper, pimentos or fruit in them

Cheeses I can take or leave:
- Feta
- Brie, and many other French cheeses
- Edam

This cracked me up so some reason. I knew what you meant but I'm glad you explained it because I doubt most people would. I thought they were the archrivals of the Vikings though....

I am lactose intolerant; related to having celiac disease. I have symptoms similar to heroin withdrawal after a gluten exposure. Gluten does the same thing, after the gut gets leaky due to gluten related damage, gluten products get through, cross blood brain barrier and attache to opiate receptors in the brain. One writer suggested this is why when selling a house some realtor suggest baking bread before a showing. People are reminded of the comfort associated with bread.
I am a cheese lover and can eat any cheese made from cows milk.
Current favorites are mozzarella camembert and bergenost. had gouda and saint albray for holiday. saint albray was great as fondue.
i will even eat nasty soy cheese if nothing else is available. and i have a cookbook on making cheese from alternative substances....

when you said as long as it is not worn on the head i did not immediately think of wisconsin because somewhere on the forum i got the idea of head cheese stuck in my head.

cheesopoly, anyone?

Yah, probably right. I guess the NFC north is all just one big, happy, sort of dysfunctional, highly competitive, half drunken family. I did pull for the Vikings when I lived in MN (a moment of silence for my dear departed job there, I miss the snow), but I've always been a Bears fan at heart. Friends don't let friends become Packer fans

I could eat cheese all day long. It is one of my favorite foods. I like all cheeses except Limburger and Roquefort/Gorgonzola/Blue Cheese (I do like them in dressings). I can appreciate all of the different tastes and consistencies of the various types of cheeses. Give me cheese or give me death!

I forgot to buy Port Wine Cheese spread yesterday in celebration for the New Year. Alas, this whole year is going to be terrible. It is a bad omen to not start the New Year with Port Wine Cheese... 8O

*throws dirt on head and rocks back and forth moaning*

I like:

Stilton
Mature Cheddar
Red Leicester
Dolcelata
Parmesan (as long as it is fresh)
Brie (ripe & runny)
Cheshire (crumbly)
Mozarella (as long as it's in a Mozarella, Tomato and fresh basil salad)

I also like cheesecake but it has to be the thick german kind, american cheescake is far too soft.

I am not keen on edam it's like rubber with holes in it.

What type of crackers do people like with their cheese?

I like digestive biscuits the best.

cheese balls

I lurve cheese balls. No, seriously- and I used to eat them SOOO aspie, too! I'd chew around them like apples till there was just a core, eat the ends, and then suck the middle. It just occurred to me now that that is a VERY aspie way to eat a cheese ball.
