FREAK HER OUT!! !! !! !! !!

I sit almost the SAME way!! !! !! !! My left(Your right) leg is bent on the chair, with the side of my left shoe touching. My right(your left) leg is up, and my right shoe is on the chair to the right side of my left knee. WEIRD! I think I started because no way seemed comfortable, and this prevented bullies from getting me in a more defenseless posture.

xD. I don't sit like that at school or anything, just at home.

I do it EVERYWHERE!! !! !

At least hunched over all the time. I always need a spot to put my arms/hands so when there's a desk or table in front of me, I'll always rest my chin on my hand/fist. If I can't do that I tend to cross my arms.

My mom always points out that I hunch. My grandmother has told me not to cross my arms, because of body language XD

Posture varies. At the moment sat slightly hunched forward, though mostly straight, left leg crossed over the right and with the chair wobbling towards the front - so that the rear legs would be off the floor if it had them rather than this weird bar thing. Usually different to this, more to do with the fact that this chair isn't terribly ergonomic.

Usually I sit leaning forward and lean on the table - or otherwise balance the chair forward off its legs, probably more to do with height than anything.

I sit to my desk in a crouching position on my chair, with my legs hugged up close to my body. I always sit in positions which people tell me look uncomfortable, and they are always the most comfortable positions for me. Generally they involve my body all curled up and hugging against itself. I have read that this is related to Aspergers - it is due to the fact that the connective tissue/ligaments of our bodies tend to be quite loose (often resulting in hypermobility) and so we are thus giving ourselves more support.

slouched, elbow on table, head in hand, head tilted clockwise, legs in firm position to help with balance
I have dyspraxia as well as aspergers and I fall over a lot. XD

Well, here is my attempt to draw the way I sit when using my laptop (although I think I've made myself look a bit smaller than I really am!):

I sit on my knees whenever I'm able to. That is really the only position I'm comfortable in. It's a sensory issue thing. When I have my feet on the floor, they are in the exact same position that hala drew: tucked underneath the chair, crossed at the ankle, and the heel off of the floor. In fact, when I sit on my knees, my ankles cross, too. I once heard that this is a sign of long-term toe-walking. And, capriwim, my good friend with AS sits like you do. :D

I often cross my arms, so people should not approach me. I have learned they keep their distance when I do so, and I want it.

As for when I am sitting, I am resting back on the chair with my shoulders, while having legs either stretched out or knees shielding me. That is because I am 196 cm tall (6,4 feet tall), so most chairs are not adapted to my length.

When at home in my room, I sit with my legs well above my head, resting on an adjacent bookcase, most of the time. Otherwise, I almost always cross my legs, or squat, or assume any position other than "ordinary" sitting posture.

I also always sit with a view of the door. Blame Dune for that one. :)

I will sit in many ways... If I am in class, or on a chair similar to wha they have in class, I will either be slouchingin an almost laying down position, or I will be leaning forward with my ankles crossed under the chair leaning over top of the desk. When I am on a couch or similar chair like a recliner I will have myself curled up in it with one leg drawn close to my body and flat against the cushion the other leg foot on the cushion, knee in the air, with my arms wherever feels most comfortable. If I am at a computer chair I will either curl up on the chair, or sit with one foot underneath my butt, or both feet there and leaning forward, or feet on the ground stimming, and head in my left hand, typing and mousing with my right, or any other position I feel comfortable in at the time...
