lol, ok I wasn't the only one that saw the humour in it as an insult, when I get really irate in traffic thats one of the things I still yell, and then it makes my wife laugh and then well we both laugh. This is a little off topic, but words were one of the things my wife and I had in common when we first met, we both had read several dictionaries when we were young.

I started reading a dictionary for the first time last year, and thoroughly enjoyed it. I never finished though :( My dictionary is at home at the moment so I can't read it, sigh.

I hated looking up words in the dictionary when I had to, during my elementary and secondary school days. Now that there is no one forcing me to, I do kind of enjoy it. Now, I mostly look up words online, but can still get some pleasure from looking through a traditional bound paper dictionary.

Oh! Duh! I guess I was pretty thick not to figure that out given your user name! My only excuse is that I didn't pay attention to your user name until now.

Another one I like is 'trouser' when used as a verb. As in: "The banker resigned in disgrace, trousering £100,000 in bonuses as he left."

(BTW, If you're from the US, trousers = pants)

I did this just today at the doctor's office. I got the word "sphygmomanometer" stuck in my head, and I kept repeating it to myself quietly.

It happens to me a lot, once I went for days with "apple pandowdy" in my head.

I just now realized it is an Aspergers thingy. 8O
