I have no clue if I was ever labeled lazy. I know my mother told me some teachers and staff saw me as a brat. I don't know who though. My 4th grade teacher thought I was very bright.

You sound exactly like me. Hyper academic and intelligent but crap at fitting in and following rules and instructions/knowing how to behave, incessantly disrupts by asking questions if interested and doesn't listen if not interested...

I really went downhill in secondary school. I left at 12 and was then home schooled...thank god...

Me too. I have my homeschool report card too and my grades were 98-100%. This was a year after I left the private high school I went to, that gave me below average grades. I guess my mum was the better teacher, or I'm just good at teaching myself.

I always got fairly high marks, but I was always told I 'could do better'.
To begin with, I got comments such as "Katherine is a quiet and conscientious worker"
Later, I got "Katherine can be disruptive at times and does not respect her peers."

I didn't know you were supposed to respect your peers, or even your teachers. They were all slow and boring, so I just stopped listening.

I finished school at TAFE too. Way better than sticking with the private school that made me meltdown all the time.

Nobody noticed me, despite all of the signs. I was the "teacher's pet," and I slipped through the cracks...
