Well, if you put it that way...

Still, being humble is a good thing, especially when you feel like you can do "anything". But I see your point.

Being humble as you are defining it seems more like being passive than anything else. People should push boundaries in my opinion. Though one has to be careful not to charge into them.

Or to feel ultimately limited by them. If you limit yourself, you limit what you comprehend as possible, therefor you limit what you can do. Though, you have to take a realistically optimistic view on life if you want to achieve something notable.

Corydaman93, I enjoyed the article :D

Brilliant, it gives me so much hope for the future generation knowing that there are young inspiration individuals such as your self, and my aspie son who is also 15 and others already making a big difference. I feel your generation will be the big change thats needed, because their is no way there can not be change, with individuals such as your self well done to you and your family.

Nice article.

I was in the paper once when I went to the Somali exchange. I was the only white girl there too xD... Well... There might ahve been more but I was definately the ugliest. I had my hair slicked back and I was wearing a 3XL teeshirt (I am a medium size) and I looked hideous. It made me laugh seeing myself and going "ew"

Congratulations, Cory! The article seems well-written, not at all extreme on the stereotyping, and it's not demonizing or dehumanizing you. This is quite an honor for you, and hopefully it will being a little awareness to the issues that you, like many of us here, face on a daily basis.

Good on you! It's very brave of you to get involved in activism at your age, especially when you're still bullied at school. When I was at that stage, I never wanted anyone to know I had AS and I definitely didn't have the guts to speak out about it like you have. This year is the first time in my life I have completely opened up about my disorder, and spoken at a conference, and stuff like that.

Well done and don't ever lose confidence in yourself! You're doing a great job, we need more aspies to make their voices heard.

Congrats! :D

I remember when I was in the newspaper once, it was nothing much. I was at the Annual RotaryDisabled Games and when I played New Age Curling there, a reporter came by needing some photos of his article about the Rotary Disabled Games, and luckily my photo got in the newspaper.

I have to agree with the others about being realistically optimistic. You stated in the paper you weren't good at gym, if your not good at gym your probably not going to be a professional athlete.
