I get it. It's very peculiar. Also get very intense flashbacks that don't just remind me of a certain thing, place or time, but make me feel as if it's actually there. Sometimes the 'memory' doesn't seem to be anything I've actually experienced; it's just a feeling of being somewhere else. Like the world briefly has two layers; I can see reality and 'other' simultaneously. I assume it's seizures, as around a third of people with an ASD are also diagnosed with epilepsy.

I actually have the opposite problem....jamais vu. It's when you suddenly can't recognize your environment.

It's sort of like saying a word over and over again until it completely loses it's meaning....well my entire perception loses it's meaning....my brain doesn't understand what my eyes see, my ears hear but can't make sense of the sounds of spoken language....my reality sort of becomes broken up into little meaningless pieces that make no sense to me....a chair is no longer a chair, a tree is no longer a tree, my fiance's face suddenly becomes completely unfamiliar to me, I walk into my lab at work and feel like I've never been there before......everything seems different....sort of strange. A traffic intersection that I've passed through tens of thousands of times becomes completely foreign to me.....

I occasionally do get deja vu, usually if I dream about work right before I wake up...then I go to work....I might get experience a little deja vu, and I'll start looking for the batch of makeup I made in my dream...when I realize it's not there, I realized I dreamed that I made it....

I read an article about it once on Wiki, I think. It's where you get the exact same feelings as de ja vu, but you have never been in that situation before. And yeah, I get it a lot.

If you get it often, it could be a type of seizure. Are there any other sensations you associate with these deja vu episodes, such as tingling, nausea, hearing or smelling something strange, seeing flashing lights, feeling tired after....?

I'm curious about this 'smelling something strange', i sometimes get a strange burning smell but it's not the usual kind of smell, it's a really odd sensation. I've only had it a few times and it only lasts about 2 seconds. I also see stars if i stand up too quick.

This. This happens to me SO MUCH. I don't just get Deja Vu, I get Deja Vu and go "Wait just a second, I've been through this in a dream before!" It's very annoying. My friends think I'm psychic, because there have been a couple of times when I realized the Deja Vu before it was over and anticipated what happened next.
