I don't. It seems like 90% of my contributions as posts are ignored.
Not sure why I still try then =/

Well for me, it's not really how people respond to my posts. Sometimes my posts seem to grab attention, sometimes they don't. For me it's the 'feel' of the place. When I post I know that I am placing forward my thoughts amongst people who appear more similar to me than anyone in real life. I read others posts, find similarities in people's perceptions and experiences. I feel as if I am accepted because we 'speak the same language'.

More than anywhere else, but that does mean you are a strange bunch.

I feel at home on this site. It is one of a rare few fields where I don't feel I have to struggle to be 'one of the pack'.

For the most part, I seem to fit in here. As long as I don't stray into the Religion/Philosophy/Politics forum where my conservative Catholic beliefs are shunned :)

I feel I can express myself without provocing every single person here, because aspies generally understand how I think even if they don't agree. However, I also feel there's a lot of stereotyping going on which I can't identify with. A lot of threads are just for unicorn painting girls to ramble about which classical aspie behaviours they have.

On an NT forum, I would have been banned by now so I chose 50-50. I feel kind of like home here, even though I'm still an extreme minority among aspies as well.

Well, I haven't posted much in a few days and I kind of feel that I'm not relating as much to people's posts. Usually I fit in quite well here, but then when I go away and come back I almost feel like an NT visiting the site.

I checked "more of a misfit than not." It seems that no matter where I am, that misfit feeling is there with me; but the neat thing about Wrong Planet is that somehow I feel right at home being a misfit.

I can relate to quite a few peoples experiences on these boards so I don't feel like a misfit.

I don't really feel like I fit in here, though the misfitting is less than anywhere else.

Same here. I can relate to people here really well, but I don't know that I necessarily feel like I belong. I'm not really close to anyone, as in chatting back, and forth, and if I suddenly stopped posting I don't think anyone would notice. I don't know if any of that made sense, but it's the best way I can explain it.

BTW, Marshall, Your posts are usually so thorough that I never feel as if I have anything to add to them, besides maybe a 'me too'. or a 'well said'. So, if you're not feeling like you get much feedback that may be why, or at least it is for me.

This is why I spend a lot of time on here.

I feel like I fit in pretty well, of course how you all really feel about me may be a different story. :P

I can belong to something without "fitting in".

Feeling a sense of belonging and "fitting in" are two different concepts.

I never even heard of "fitting in" until this year.
This idea seems very strange to me.
Why should people aspire to it?
I thought that everyone was an individual and did things in their own ways.
Bizarre.

I don't fit in on these boards, because my perspective on this subject is unusual and unique.

People are friendly and I feel a sense of belonging, but that's not the same as fitting in.

I'm actually incredibly disappointed that there is a concept of "fitting in".
I honestly thought that people were more open minded and tolerant than this.
Or am I just niave?

Seriously, I thought people were just people until I heard about this concept of "misfit" this year.

I feel that I belong, just as long as I keep my religious and political views to myself. I feel like an old fashioned rebel from an earlier time, when it comes to those two things.

So technically I don't belong here on that level, but I will say that this place is helping me to understand someone that I love...and for that I am grateful.
