I look good but if I hadn't had surgery and didn't make it my life purpose to look good I would just look average.
What kind of surgery? And what else do you do to look good?
I never noticed a correlation; if anything, aspies tend to look uglier. No offense, it's probably just because most of us don't make an effort to look better. I do now, because I realized that people considering me attractive has actually contributed to the little success I've had in social situations.
I think aspies sometimes can have very tense and neurotic facial expressions. I had a few lip enlargements to make my face look "softer" and my mouth generally more relaxed. I also had my forehead stretched up a bit to elevate the eyebrows and lift some of the tension around the eyes. In addition to this I made the nose softer by transplanting material from my ear. The overall impression is a much softer, smoother and more "attractive" face. The tension around the mouth and eyes look good now with the more rich/full features. I still have very sharp eyes and overall impression but it's attractive now rather than just disturbing/neurotic.
To be honest I think my "aspieness" is one reason for why I had surgery. I always thought I looked so tense and aspie on photos. The surgery vastly improved it.
Other than this, I scrub my face every day, wash it and use a face protector. I use the Body Shop for Men Maca Root series. They are really good but moderately pricy. It's important to scrub every morning before shaving, in my oppinion, because it only takes a day for dead skin cells to start gathering and clumping together again even if you don't see it or feel it. Doing this every day will make the skin much smoother over time and it stimulates blood flow.
I also have a training routine where I do 50-60 pushups + 50-75 situps and a few toe lifts every other day and the days between that I do 40 "scorpion" lifts (flat on the stomach lift the legs upwards while keeping them straight) for the lower back, as well as some weight lifting for the shoulders. Just around 10 heavy lifts with straight arms.
I avoid all sugar, coffee and fast carbs in my food, drink a lot of high antioxidant tea (green, red) as well as some occasional black tea, eat lots of fruits and vegetables every day and have a lot of slow carbs, proteine and healthy fats in my food.
