Ugh... That reminds me. Opening freezer drawers. That dry scratchy sound makes me scrunch up my neck and shoulders as if to cower from an attack, and practically jump through the ceiling. It's very similar to pencils.

I hate the noise of a tv when someone is speaking to me as I cannot filter out the two different sounds very well and it makes me feel dizzy.

Likewise I do not like the sounds of more than 1 person talking to me at one time , example if two people are talking back and forth then ask me something I just freeze as I have spent the last few miutes not joining in the conversation and trying to squeeze my ear canals together without using my hands to make the sounds quieter.

I hate any unexpected sound , it doesn't need to be loud , when I jump some people find that funny, that annoys me but I keep it to myself. It happens most often if I am concentrating to listen to what a person is saying to me, then when that same person laughs I wonder why I made the effort to listen to them in the first place .
I really hate it when a person knocks on the wood of the front door instead of using either the door knocker or the doorbell, because that is a sound I am not expecting to hear .

I found out today I really hate the sound of Cher singing that Do you believe in love after love song as I am trying to do something that requires concentration. I screamed at the radio SHUT UP CHER and mashed the power off button.

I HATE THE NOISE OF SIRENS BECAUSE they make it hard for me to walk across the street with out stopping oddly and cover my ears most times, or just not knowing which way to move.

My six year old with sever autism also dislike the sounds of sirens.

Cars speeding in urban areas, especially the 'pimped' cars with bean can exhausts (although there a few cars I just adore the sound of). Also agree with Kelpie and loud music blaring from phones, becomes an irritaing 'tish tish tish' kind of noise.

Our dog makes a habit of getting right in your face and barking very loudly when she wants something from you. I've learned that if I hold both ears, and turn away, she will get the message that I am not listening, and quit barking.

Can't stand sirens, fire alarms, noisy crowds and concerts. All of these either make me freeze or curl up in a ball with my hands over my ears and having a panic attack

I can't stand the noise of people scuffing their feet because it's unpleasant (I can't think of any real reason) and people should know how to walk without dragging their feet. If they're injured, ok, but why do they have to scuff when there's nothing wrong with them?

Punk. Rap. Metal. Bluegrass.

It's just all too abrasive. I used to get in fights with a boyfriend over whose music to listen to.
He thought I was the most self-centered person on earth when I started crying because he was blasting punk music.

I hate it when a police car or an ambulance is coming towards me with it's lights flashing but not it's siren on yet, because I know damn well that having flashing lights means that it might turn it's siren on at any time. I don't mind if the siren is already on and zooms by because there's plenty of warning that there's a loud noise, and it doesn't make me jump, but when they're sudden it really makes me flinch. I have an intense reaction to sudden loud noise, where I literally jump off the ground and flinch really bad so it notices. Then I'm scared other people see me and think, ''that stupid idiot over there is like a frightened rabbit! It didn't make me jump like that! She must be stupid!''
I'm afraid to put my fingers in my ears too because people might see me and wonder why I have my fingers in my ears.

That's why I don't like going out in the street - you can't be yourself! NTs must be worshipped, otherwise if you break one rule, they will emotionally ''get'' you. I hate life.
