My cat licking herself, which can be extended to any pet licking itself/something else.

They seem to always have to do it in my presence... I don't know why the noise annoys me so much. There's a lot of noises I dislike but can deal with if I have to, but that's the one I just can't stand.

That idiot right next door revving up his motorcycle all day. Ever heard of a muffler? They're really nice, you should get one.

-People clearing their throat. It's always unsettling.
-Whiny little kids. I've met puppies that are more well-behaved than them.
-Some people chewing with their mouth open. Also irritating.

I hate the noise of my parents yelling. It raises my heartbeat. It sounds depressing because they are acting so outlandish, dumb, and immature that it not only stresses me out but it also disappoints me that they can act in such a way so often. Not to mention I am sensitive to noises and when they are yelling, the instant they are heard, a little tick in my brain is reminded of the time that they used to yell at me while abusing me as a child.

My roommate just blew his nose! He honks! Eeeeek. LOL And now he is cleaning out the dishwasher and the dishes are banging together. Time for a cigarette break methinks.

YES. Especially when the kids have those voices that literally sound like buzzers.

Agreed. Used to cry as a kid when one happened. I'd shut down completely.

I live in an older high-rise condo. There are constant repairs and renovations going on here Monday-Friday from 8am-4pm. The sawing, drilling, hammering, etc....is the aural equivalent of chinese water torture. I wear eagplugs constantly when i'm here during those hours. They help....but only marginally.

Neighbour noises are some of the worst... They sound like they are happening in your own house while you cannot stop them.

I had very nice but very noisy neighbours. Besides slamming the doors or playing their music loud with all their windows and doors open, the worst was their bathroom fan. It had such high pitched but barely hearable sound... Sometimes they kept it on all day and I was the only one in the house who could hear it. It drove me nuts to the point of feeling sick in my stomach! And there was nowhere to hide... aarghhh

(I am glad I moved.... not because of the fan but still...) I am glad I moved :)

Me too.
Especially when they are chewing gum, and chewing with their mouths open (and then on top of that, those chemical mint smells). ewwwwww

I hate the sound of guitars and pianos. I can listen to them recorded just fine, but get them anywhere near me and the sound is just too sharp.

Recorded or not, I cannot stand the sound of a clavecimbel or a trumpet. These are just wrong sounds...

And folks singing off tune.... or what about people tapping a microphone, tezzzzting one 2 three.... waahhh

What a thrill to read all those hateful noises.... What recognition!

I also hate the noises of:
-drilling drills and sawing chainsaws
-every machinery the hygienist and the dentist use, especially when I am in the waiting room
-speeding mopeds (cuts like knives in my ears)
-someone talking on the phone on the radio
-people (way too loud) talking on their cell phone
-music you hear just barely from someone ear plugs
-music without bass
-music with too much bass
-my car, computer or vacuum cleaner when they suddenly decided to sound differently (bugs me tremendously)
-clacking computer and synthesizer keyboard keys
-crackling plastic (any plastic)
-crackling potato chips bag
... and an even tougher one:
-crackling chips bag PLUS person(s) eating the chips

And sometimes I cannot stand while sometimes I just don't mind (weird eh?) the sounds of:
-the sea (waves)
-dripping water
-airplanes flying overhead
-applauding people
-folks whispering
-horses' hoofs in the street
-squeeking sound of car tires turning in the parking garage

o.k. I'll stop :)

Mosquito Ringtones. Why??? I mean...who came up with those??????? For what purpose? They are horrible. They send me into a rage. I may literally break someone's phone if they play them over and over (and are aware that it hurts me).

I hate the noise of the Inverness, Aberdeen, Perth, Dundee, Edinburgh, and London trains as they thunder past the smaller stations in my area, to the point where I have to wear earplugs when I'm catching a train from one.

My second period Language Arts teacher who is the only one in our school who uses chalkboards and chalk. She has a 10,000 dollar interactive white board system on one wall but it has never been used. She only uses chalk. The scratching noise makes me shiver and want to throw it out of the window.
