violent, you can use your mind to block it all out, and when your mind is fully clear, you will be able to start a new life, without the influence of all that has happened to you. Sound like a good plan?

Sorry S Cory
cannot agree with you that it is that easy.
I was thinking that you use your bitterness to drive you to aspire to be what you were told you cannot be.
Sccots' signature is what i was thinking.

I do believe in mind over matter, but that takes years of focus and conditioning. Practice makes perfect, etc...

But that is not an easy route.

Well, end of the day, life has been s**t to me, so I don't care if I have to take a bite out of the whole damn world before I feel better. Why the hell should I try to change? I never had ANY trouble with anger before the bullying! It's not my fault it started, why the hell should I sort it out? I go to counseling, it's not like I *don't* try, but end of the day, theres always something that undoes all the hard work. Even if it's just someone giving me a funny look because of the clothes I wear or the way I walk, what gives other people the right to see me as different!?! If they want to single me out, they can pay the bloody consequences.

When people get to full of pride in themselves here is something to remember the Good Book says in Proverbs 16:18 "Pride goeth before destruction, and the haughty spirit before a fall."

So those Who get to full of Pride our just hurting themselves as well as others in the end.

Personally, I prefer "I live to serve as a warning to others"

I didn't think it WAS to me, I was just trying to remain part of the conversation and raise the issue of where atheists can find comfort, due to their lack of a fixed belief system :x

I define Pride as Belief

You must believe if you are to overcome

by overcoming you, did do (can do)

Gay pride; They overcame alot of obstacles and exclusions by coming out of the closet and being proud of who they were. Instead of the closet days, which showed shame. Mainly because of persecution from society. And Societies unwillingness to accept them as , other people. They were treated like sex perverts living in sin.
But who has the right to judge these things about others.

God syas, "Judge not, lest ye not first be judged."
Jesus said, "He who is without sin, may cast the first stone." i believe it was in defense of a whore.

Hold any view about God you choose.
The Bible could be a well written story which offers hope for others then.

But even if you do not believe in God, the Bible is still an excellent foundation for someone to live their life by. You may exclude all things about god, just take the rest as a moral idea.

for instnce;

I can to all things by believing in myself, which gives me strength.

so... basically, even though I don't find strength in *religion*, I should use something else that I feel strongly about to comfort myself and give reason for myself?
