YMBAAI you honestly can't see why anyone should care when a celebrity does something like this, I do not know this person therefore I don't care.

YMBAAI an ex-client passed away and some of the staff went to his funeral, but obviously you don't go for similar reasons to the above (I had no reason to talk to him once he became an ex-client, so why would I go to his funeral?)

Related to that, YMBAAI the main thing that distressed you on finding out about the ex-client dying is the effect it had on the office for the rest of the day, not the news itself.

it's why I can't sit thru TMZ; as I told an ex-friend of mine "do I honestly care if Johnny Depp is standing out on a corner in Hollywood eating Fudge Ripple Ice Cream?"

It also reminds me of this show that airs around the same time called "Cheaters"; and the funny thing about this show is that, due to the way the show title is presented, I could've sworn it was called "Heaters", and kept thinking to myself "why would anyone want to watch a show about heaters?"

You might be an Aspie if:

Everyone enjoyed your birthday party much more than you did.

You get annoyed when someone interrupts the song you're singing in your head.

You count your footsteps.

Your redneck family thinks you're the weird one because you don't talk to them, or listen to country music.

You can watch the same movie over and over, and still enjoy it as much.

You lose track of time looking at the sunset, stars, snow, etc.

You turn up the music in your car because you hate the sounds of the tires, engine, and strange noises you can't identify.

People love pointing out those rare moments when you are acting social, which makes you want to stop.

You might be an Aspie if you inject yourself into a conversation without knowing what is going on.

YMBAAI:

The historical figure whom you most closely resemble in terms of personal philosophy and ideology is Jesus Christ.

You might be an Aspie if:

You are annoyed when you find that someone spells their name differently than the way you've been seeing it in your head.

You run out of cream and put malted milk balls in your coffee because it says the word 'milk'.

You mark 'yes' in the box regarding daily exercise because you are stimming daily.

You speak in full sentences, but the words are in all the wrong places, like a sentence anagram.

YMBAAI:

You think of every letter in the alphabet in terms of the number of letters in the spelling of the letter itself, then try to find the middle letter of random words you see or think of, and only stop when you realise that it always boils down to an infinite loop or the letter e.

I'm still reading through this thread & no way I can actually reply to everything I agree with... I'll add my own comments later. But I had to mention this one. Not only do I do this, I probably do it every time I get an x-ray. (You might be an Aspie if you tell the same stories or make the same comments repeatedly since they seem to have worked the first time).

You think that you're favourite celebrity.

You're living in the years of your favourite era.

You are in total obsessive lust with one man who you will never meet. Not STRICTLY an AS trait, but if it's real intense and you know everything about him instead of just watching the shows and films he's in, THEN it can get aspie.

Are you perhaps a teenage girl? *grin* (No offense intended...just the first thing that popped into my head... actually know many people in their 30s & 40s who are the same). I think that's actually pretty normal. I have seen a lot of seriously obsessive behavior toward my favorite band and I'm sure those girls (and guys) can't all be Aspies. Haha. (Would you actually lick up your idol's spit from the ground? It's been done with mine... the lead singer of the band's spit, I mean - not mine. Hah. I think it may have been a dare, but still...). So, don't stress too much on this one.

Actually I think in a way it may be more Aspie to not freak out over famous people. (At least that's how I am). I may obsess about the music & the band, but as far as the actual band members I pretty much treat them like anyone else. I have met them, at least briefly, several times, and after the first time it's just like "Oh, hey guys, good to see you again." And I've done my normal blunt thing to a couple of people in other bands when they irritated me. *shrug*

Just another perspective, if it makes you feel better. :) RR

Ugh so many things I want to respond to on the forums right now, but my good computer is in the shop & I can't type properly on this keyboard because it feels weird.

YMBAAI you can't type because it's a strange keyboard, and feels "weird". :)

LoL - Well it does! The keys require more force to press. Not to mention it's kinda sideways... And....
YMBAAI You just realized after 2 days that you could simply move your other keyboard to this computer. *sigh*

YMBAAI... you always raise your hand in class because you know the answer. For that reason, the teacher rarely calls on you.
