A good time to claw a person in the back is when you are hugging them.

I'd rather be taught, than judged.

And....what's wrong with my Avatar? I happen to think it's cool!

Oh, but because I don't think much of it don't mean to say it is wrong.
Wrong means not right and if it works for you it is right so it can't be wrong iykwim
It reminds me of a judge that really tried to teach me but realized in the end he had no hope in hell of getting thru to me. Suppose he taught me that much...
Getting more miles to the gallon than I care for at the mo and ain't nothing huggy-wuggy about that :ninja:

I lack TOM for everyone: it's not just you <_<.

In seriousness, I don't think sweet people are necessarily fake or putting on an act. I do, however, think some people put on an act of being sweet: there is a difference. I am not accusing you of being in the second group: in fact, for whatever it's worth, your personality seems genuine to me.

That's not to say most other people are putting on an act - at least not consciously. But they probably are doing it at the subconscious level. I wouldn't have thought Aspies would have been too good at this, but then I keep on reading about how female aspies apparently don't have any mind of their own, but just copy/mimic other people - so I dunno. Maybe there are some women here who think that to be a "good" person they need to be seen doing "good" things. I was always a hopeless copier, so I never learnt to get good at being overly nice to other people - I know, I know. I have a hard time believing it myself... >.>

In my hastily-cobbled-together opinion, I think "niceness", "sweetness", etc. can be an innate personality trait - or it can be an acquired one to blend in with the group, protect one's self-esteem, etc. Some people seem to me to be just naturally nice and empathetic. I don't think much of human nature in general, but there are good folk out there.

And now I'm just waffling. Sensory overload. Quiet afternoon by a normal human being's standards and a busy one by mine. For the first time in yonks, I did some 'real' cooking this afternoon - made a turkey pie which was f***ing tasty, even if I do say so myself. (Made a white sauce from scratch.) Then I had to set up my mum's new Hudl2 and teach my dozy brother how to use it. Was exhausted after all that.

Said I'd watch The Hunger Games at 9pm. Bit pissed off, because we were gonna watch a ghost story and I've seen The Hunger Games anyway.... :-/

Anyway...

How about some more cat pictures? You can't have too many cat pictures on the internet - it's not physically possible >_>.

Nice actions show nice people more than nice words.

It's a caricature, never liked them much as a style more than anything else I suppose.

I guess it's sort of a caricature.

Have you read Charles Dickens? He was a specialist in caricature.

Yeah there's a lot of pressure to fit in. I've been notorious of subconsciously picking up other quirks and social attitudes to fit in. I tend to despise myself when I notice it happening, a well trained dog. Its been a struggle to establish what I actually am.

I must admit, I like your posts and find you interesting and a good contributor to the forum, but... I find your avatar really creepy for some reason.
