I actually have a friend who had an above-the-knee amputation due to having bone cancer in his knee. He told me that some of these people are attracted only if the amputation occurred in a leg and above the knee. Supposedly the various amputation fetishes are really specific to limb and to how much of the limb is gone.

I'm actually not against anyone adopting Asperger's as a disorder. The truth is, we all need an identity. I strongly support anyone who is at a stage where they're trying to define themselves. And if they feel that they can relate to many of the symptoms of AS, then for better or worse, it's the beginning of their journey. It could, in all possibilities, turn out they actually may be autistic and have AS. It could happen.

But if there are those who willingly and knowingly try to pass themselves off as an Aspie, and who themselves know perfectly well they're not autistic - shame on them. I would like to believe that a guilty conscience will ultimately prevail and they would mature, realizing the folly of their ways.

How to you pretend to have a leg amputated? How do you fake the absence of a limb?

Sorry that made me laugh

People will try anything though

Well, on the one hand it sounds absurd. On the other hand, there is this guy in the Czech Republic who appears to have both legs and an arm missing (not sure if it is deformity or amputation, I suppose it could be either). I saw him panhandling on a Saturday in Karlovy Vary (Karlsbad) and the following Monday I saw him again in Prague at the bottom of Wenceslas Square (by the Bonton CD store). This was last summer. I've been wondering since then if there was any possibility that he was faking, as panhandling in tourist areas during tourist season can be fairly lucrative.

Well you could get one of those little boxes on wheels, and tuck your legs into the box...

I've heard of cases where people have actually had their limbs amputated in a bizarre sort of fetish. (I've even heard it stated that transsexualism was a sort of amputation fetish.)

As weird as you think people are... they're even weirder than that.

I think this is a form of OCD?It seems like the brain wiring can be "different" for many humans(imagine that).

That cracked me up; imagine being turned down because your leg wasn't amputated enough.

edit: like getting a haircut, "Can you take a bit more off please?".

Sorry, i guess i shouldn't laugh.

Apparently that is a consideration if you're auditioning to be in some fetish-specific porn. My friend never did that, but some of the online communities he visited got trolled by people needing porn actors.
