I honestly do not think anything will change for the autistic community with either candidate.

People have so many hopes before presidential elections, but they are all disappointed at the end of every president's term.

Just my two cents.

I know for a fact that my life is better now because of the last 8 democratic years, than it would have been at the end of 8 GOPTPer years.

Agreed. People neglect to bring this up, but I often wonder why anyone in ANY minority group would support Trump. The only people I can see Trump caring for are straight, white, Christian, American, neurotypical, cisgender males with conservative values. Yes, this makes me sound like an SJW... so what?

Trumps policies will be great for anyone making millions of dollars a year--like your typical star big league athlete.

The man is a crook. You seem to be swayed by color.

I guess that at least with Clinton, she doesn't discriminate, the bombing she supports just blows away everything in site.

Well like I mentioned I've yet to see proof if Trump is gonna do anything that'll help improve lives of those on the autism spectrum and others with disabilities like is he gonna promote policy that'll get employers to hire us, will he expand services to help adults with autism like with housing, employment, and healthcare? As for Hillary no I don't support her and I'm aware she's flipped flopped on many issues and I don't know for a fact if she'll really follow through but at least she's not ignoring us like Trump seems to be. And what does bombing have to with autism discrimination?
Overall I guess I'm delusional lol

Here's the thing I see regarding benefits, assistance or whatever for Aspergers. The demographic is all over the place. Does some very high functioning aspie living in Beverly Hills really need special whatever from the government? The problem with Aspergers as a disability, is it *appears* to have little impact on many adults diagnosed with it. Too many aspies "leading perfectly ordinary successful lives". Or so at least it would appear to most.

It doesn't matter which way you yanks vote. Both candidates are anti-vaxxers anyway. Just don't end up on the wrong side of history.

I beg to differ, it matters very much who gets in there, anybody that doesn't see the extreme danger that today's GOP represents simply is not paying attention.

I don't think we should be given jobs purely because we're autistic. I think we need a bit of help to find out where our talents lie. I think pressure could be put on Trump to give an answer, where as Hilary will tell people what she thinks they want to hear and just do nothing or the opposite of what she says. I'm saying that we shouldn't get swayed by Clinton's soppy propaganda and lies and should think more of the world and what this election means for it, then think about more personal issues after it's over.

Clinton is the worst liar by a mile. How can you support someone like her? She takes millions from Saudi Arabia, who punish women for being raped and don't let them drive. She knowingly gave them weapons to bomb schools and hospitals in Yemen. She knows that the Saudis and other gulf states were/are funding ISIS and says she puts on a different face for the public. She took billions of dollars from people for donations for the people of Haiti and then just kept it for her and her husband.

Tell me one thing that Trump has done that's worse than that?

I'm voting for Donald Trump. He clearly, needs educated more on people with disabilities and he himself may be suffering from some sort of disability that prevents him from speaking in a manner that does not offend others. I personally know how that feels. People misunderstand my words and intentions every day. My High Functioning Autism makes me come off a bit cold and emotionless. Everyone needs to put the emotions aside and decide based on the facts of each candidate. Let's start with Hillary Clinton. #1 - She lies and lies and lies. #2 - She thinks it is o.k to have her own e-mail server and send and receive highly classified information on it. #3 - She believes in late term abortion. #4 - She calls people hateful names, such as racist, sexist, homophobic, islamophobic and deplorable. #5 - She has a poor relationship with Russian leader Putin. Next, Donald Trump. #1 - He stands up to protect gun laws. #2 - He has a good relationship with Putin. #3 - He will not except a paycheck to be President. #4 - He understands what company's in The United States need to be successful. #5 - He will repeal Obama Care. I clearly see who would make a better President and I hope everyone else can see what I see. Don't get fooled by the Clinton Machines propaganda and lies. Vote with your brain not your emotions.

you are not grokking me at all. I am not voting FOR Hillary, but I am voting AGAINST trump. big difference. but I'm not optimistic that this will translate into something sensible to your philosophy. lesser of two evils. the difference is that Hillary has done questionable things BEFORE, but that trump will do worse things AFTER.
