This has happened to me, not on the bus, but other places.

... You are working towards a PhD in physics at at top graduate school. You find your coursework challenging, but doable, and you are a very highly ranked student. However, you find that talking to professors to find a thesis adviser is an impossible task

... You work with a bunch of quirky, eccentric individuals, and you are still the outsider, the strange one.

... You had a very successful meeting. You made many witty remarks. You have no idea why people thought your remarks were witty.

You get jealous of your cousins when they go out partying on week-end nights - even though you hate partying and would never set foot in another party in a million years, ever since that time when you went to your 14-year-old cousin's party and had the runs, and deep down you knew you had the runs because of the nerves of being associated with rowdy obnoxious NT teenagers.....

YMBAA if you wrote a letter to your local library as a teen asking them to initiate some sort of book rating system, wherein any one checking out a book could leave a rating for it- for future patrons- in the back cover.

This was a good idea and you know it!

when you pay the cost for premium channels just so you can watch Nat Geo, Disovery, History Channel, and Animal Planet

When you know when it is correct grammar to use the word "whom" v's "who"

When the limit of your social life is your pet whom you understand better than most people.

when u mourn for the loss of your computer more than the loss of your loved ones.

When all your friends are on WrongPlanet.net

I'm still undiagnosed (looking into a diagnosis now) but I've got a couple that haven't been mentioned yet! (Read all 202 pages before posting! I know I'm not the ONLY one, but this hasn't been mentioned in a while

1- When your only and "best" friend can not be tolerated by all your other family members, and treats you like crap (only talking when it's convenient to them/blowing you off half the time/will only do something if they suggest it) and you know it. Yet when said friend finally abandons you for good, you complain to your family because "Yea, she wasn't a very GOOD friend but she WAS a friend and you take what you can get."

2- You honestly try not to dominate the conversation and "talk about others" but are confused when they bounce the questions back to you as well and decide maybe all the "social rules" are wrong and proceed to talk about latest object of interest until they shut you up

... You actually started reading all 200+ pages, to avoid duplicating anything, before realizing you were crazy.

You might be an Aspie if you'd rather have no friends than hang out with your friends every day.

You might be a strange Aspie if not only you actually haven't read through all 200 pages, you have been picking pages at random then after too many to remember, you don't know what pages you have read and which pages you haven't read....

If you feel really annoyed when you write a really good post on WP explaining a really good point about something, and you've used really good words - and nobody replies. Then you feel annoyed and wonder why nobody reads this thread any more, even though the last post before your's was posted just 2 days before today. (I am not talking about this thread though - I'm talking about other threads)

You get really anxious and sensitive about what other people think of you and so you try to be extra careful to keep up a NT charade - then you go and blow it by saying something weird without realising it, then wonder why people judge you. (I hate myself when I do this!)

Or you might just be anti-social.
