Fascinating the number of people with near (short) sightedness but, once corrected, have very detailed vision processing. I can't say I'm surprised. :)

I have exceptional eyesight, definitely above 20/20 vision. I can see pimples on a flea's arse from a mile away

One optician told me my sight was perfect. Another told me I am mildly longsighted and told me she would have given me glasses, but since I didn't seem to be having problems, there was no need.

I think she was an idiot, I regularly sit hunched over and read a book with it held right in front of my face. No distortion or headaches.

I don't know if I'm short sighted or far sighted, I always get confused with the difference between the two. What I do know is that I've worn glasses since I was 6 years old and without them, I can't see writing on the TV or road signs when in the car. Good thing I can't drive!

That sounds like you are short sighted (you can see things close but things further away are blurry).

Yes, I have eye-sight problems for, I have to wear glasses and have been for several centuries now  Still, most of my other sensory systems don't tend to be messed up per se..I've read about how people in the spectrum often have differing sensory responses as, some people might tend to be hyperactive or hypoactive to various things like sunlight,noises,tastes,smells,etc.. I,myself can't stand the bright sunlight. No! I'm not a vampire  just, that the brightness of the sun tends to blind me literally beyond this, I can't really think of anything that tends to give me troubles..

Extreme sunlight blinds me, too, as well as brings on severe headaches if I don't use shades. Sometimes I carry an umbrella to provide my own shade on sunny days.

My mother was severely nearsighted. I didn't get it. Instead my eyes have remained pretty much the same and are actually drifting very slightly farsighted. Not enough to warrant correction, but very slight.
