If you are angry because of the experience you had regarding incorrect dx, then i really want to extend respect to you and i have made that very clear before.

That issue is that no-one really knows if my assessment was incorrect or not.
It's been disputed/argued over for years.
Probably because I'm a girl.

The assessment could very well be correct.
That's the issue.
When I was diagnosed AS, I was treated in a very condescending way.
When people didn't know, they talked to me normally and respected me, they treated me as more human.

I'd love to go and live with the birds and animals too away from all of this.

Thanks.

I want to live in Australia.

I just want to GO to Australia!

Millie, are you going???

Merle

yes. i will be talking at it on the friday.....an example of the kind of lives some of us led without the benefit of a diagnosis. The life YOU DO NOT WANT YOUR ASD DAUGHTER TO HAVE!
You know ALL about that too, merle. As do so many here with their own stories and journeys, dx;ed and undx'ed, young and older.

I wish so many of you could come.

Perhaps Merle, I could read a short something out from you as an older woman, later in life dx and active wp member and mod, and autism activist from Oregon?
We need as many world role models for younger girls as we can pull together.

pm me if anyone wants to add their name to a list we could pin up in the seminar room - you know - ASD women from across the globe who are there in spirit? Might be a nice thing to do. :)

A seminal seminar topic

Write me up in spirit, millie. :D

^ Thanks sartresue.
It will be a good weekend. You shall be there in spirit. :)

back to the animals, art, trees and quiet...and no doubt a bit of WP perusing....but alas...no perusing for a bruising. :)
