For those with Asperger's: Do You Consider Yourself Autistic?
Yes, of course. Autism isn't limited to just one specific type. 46%  46%  [ 39 ]
Yes, but i avoid using the word "autistic" to describe myself around most people, so that they don't misunderstand. 31%  31%  [ 26 ]
No. While i realize that I am on the autistic spectrum, I generally think of the word "autism" as referring specifically to Classic Autism. 24%  24%  [ 20 ]
No. I'm not autistic at all and don't see how i could possibly be similar to people in other categories on the "autistic spectrum." 0%  0%  [ 0 ]

Even tho I haven't tried this, I wouldn't mind saying I'm slightly autistic at certain times. I think I could handle saying something like that, tho I might confuse some people who don't know what autism is or risk censor by people who know one autistic person who did this or that and compare me to him or her. Still, it would get the point across about why it is so difficult for me to deal with them.

Don't be too sure it would get the point across. People seem to think that 'slightly autistic' means you can act what they consider normal because it's not 'severe autism' and that since you can act it, you don't feel it so it isn't difficult. Then again, maybe people around you would understand better.

Yes, same here. Usually I refer to myself as "autistic", but there are people who consistently talk about me as "Asperger's", so I tend to talk about Asperger's to these people.
