I perceive that this is very much the minority view. I also think that community is large enough that we see what we want to see. We can see what you see, or we can see something entirely different.

We have to keep in mind that our perceptions of this community are shaped in part by our own personalities. You also have to keep in mind that in no way is WP a representative sample of autistic people in general. For starters, WP is subject to self-selection bias. That is to say, only people who enjoy being online and discussing themselves and others in a public forum will come here and post.

I am truly sorry you are frustrated, but I think we all see what we want to see here. I see the posts to which you are referring primarily as noise and listen in to a more fine-tuned frequency, as it were. Regardless, I would suggest that making blanket statements about the community is not to anyone's advantage.

@DemonAbyss10 - this thread was not meant to be a troll. You seem to be getting a bit fired up. Also realize that your statements are your views, not facts, as well. Also not I have said multiple times I was never referring to the whole group, and that I specifically said in one post how it was my views on the community as a whole, not a attack on person A or B. Swearing at me as you do must have meant I struck a nerve. Apologies I guess.

@fiddlerpianist - I was not really frustrated personally. It was more an annoyance at how the general community, to me, seemed to present themselves. And you are right it is a self selection basis. The post refers to the users of this community who themselves have claimed "this is the biggest gathering spot" and such.

I personally think it's best to take people on a indevidual person by person basis - Aspie or NT it really doesn't matter.

My SO is an NT one of the best people you could ever hope to meet.

The only 'us and them' that exists for me is the kind non judgmental people V's unpleasant judgmental and hurtful people - and they and can be either Aspie or NT.

Given that you stated that you knew the thread was likely to piss people off, that you generalized the community as a whole based on more or less no information, that you've not been on WP very long and the majority of your posts have been criticism of the entire community, and that you said that your whiny post was meant to "wake people up" as to their own whining, and that you posted this in the general section where it would be seen by everybody, rather than in a more specialized section where it might actually belong (like perhaps "Autism Politics Activism, and Media Representation") it's fairly hard to believe that you didn't mean to do it. You already said that you knew it would upset people, and you did exactly what you were saying that people shouldn't do. You went on to say that you thought you might get banned for it. I know personally, I couldn't argue with any mod who decided that this thread was meant to troll--despite your statement that you're not a troll, you've all but admitted that you are trolling. If you feel the need to state that you aren't a troll when you start a thread, you should think twice about starting it.

I have noticed a pattern here for a while that when people say things other people don't want to hear, they get called a troll.

I said it would piss people off because I thought it would, and it did. My purpose on posting was not to piss people off, that was a side effect.

The "majority" of my posts have actually been rather constructive, many encouraging good discussion, and many not even taking place in General. How many of my threads have you really read?

I state that I was not sorry because originally I was going to put "And I am sorry if this offends" but realized I wasn't. It's also not my fault people got upset over reading something they did not like/disagreed with.

You may call it a whine about whiners. Maybe it is abit. Accepted as such.

Also I have not personally attacked anyone. And I guess you missed the part were in several places I stated it was a generalization and not a attack on specific people. Or it could be you skimmed this thread and posted without really knowing what the point was, or for that matter reading any other threads.

I have in all my other threads tried to remain very polite. This was abit more abrasive.

These are my honest thoughts. They are not made up to incite anger or start a flame war. Maybe you should think about intention and read more before you state as you have.
