Is it because of the song 'The Hardest Button to Button' that you don't like buttons?

I dislike high heels; I used to wear them, but after several painful twists to an ankle, I avoid them.

Also, I don't like scratchy wool, even layered over something else; I can still feel it.

Stiff clothing that doesn't fit right. I recently bought a blouse that looked really smart, but I can't stand the stiff, noisy fabric rustling in my ear whenever I move around.

Tight clothing. I like things to fit loosely.

Shirts or blouses made in such a way, that my armpit feels constricted. My fave shirts are men's plaid flannel ones, layered over comfy cotton T-shirts, short or long sleeved. My fave 2 pairs of pant's are men's, found in a thrift shop.

Anything with polyester or acrylic fiber is so itchy it drives me crazy.

I can't stand high heels. One thing I could never understand about women was why the heck they would voluntarily torture themselves by wearing shoes that are painful and cause foot and back problems.

What's worse, it seems the fashion industry only finds it suitable for women to wear nothing but heels considering I can hardly find any half decent looking shoes without one.

I really hate gender specific clothes. I will not wear the stuff they make for women, unless it looks masculine, or unisex.

The only thing I'm comfortable in is cotton clothing with no rough tags. Casual and comfortable, but sophisticated. :)

Dresses and skirts because it feels like I'm naked, and I keep looking down to check if I still have clothing on.

Anything with a lot of buttons because I'm usually slow at doing them up.

What about zips? Are you ok in zipping clothes? They look like buttons in my view... No, even worse, because they look sounnatural and are hard to be held together!

I've heard a number of theories - the most credible one (to me) is that they force the woman to thrust out her breasts and buttocks when she walks, thus making men drool with sexual passion. They also make her legs look longer which has a similar effect. Presumably the damage they do to their bodies is a small price to pay compared to the increase in willing mates for reproduction......in evolutionary terms, reproduction is a stronger driving force than the long-term health of the individual. Though personally I never understood why men are ever fooled by women's sexual props. I always think "yes, but what do they look like without the optical illusions?"

I guess that so many women have already climbed on board the sexualisation-by-clothing thing that it doesn't make economic sense to cater for the remainder. While in a large department store (around 1985) I heard the preamble to a swimwear fashion presentation........they were quite blatantly teaching women that swimsuits that covered up anything much were frumpy and boring. There's also been this thing with movies......Hollywood realised that they could sell more tickets by using the most sexually attractive people they could find to play the leading roles, and the public soon began to imitate the dress code of their idols, which created a very lucrative by-product. Somehow porn and real life got all mixed up together.

I can't wear white socks; for some reason, I find them incredibly uncomfortable....and I have no idea why.

I would also never be caught dead in a leisure suit, but that's besides the point...

I don't like things with wide neck-holes or shirts that are too short and wide so they flutter around your midsection, yuck.. I like them long and narrow, but not too tight because they squeeze my boobs together so I'm like constantly reminded "YOU HAVE BOOBS". XD;;;
I also hate pants that are too tight or slip down so you can't lift your leg up to your chest. Somehow I'm always wearing pants like that when it's time to climb something.

Can you wear black socks then? Do they make you comfortable?

Me too! :D

I HATE feminine looking stuff, and when, like me, you are a woman of size, it's even harder to find good unisex-styled clothing. I saw a lovely tank/shirt combo in Primark today- may get it when I next see it :D

Oh yes. Anything baggy ;)

Right now I'm wearing this multicoloured check shirt, my black cords and one of my many, many ties.
