So, that makes you a "phobia philiac"?

Murder the entire world with your torture kingdom inside your head but don't ever hurt anyone who didn't do anything to do you. Free thought is free thought and the more controversial the interest the more provocative and stimulating. The majority of my special interests are at least somewhat controversial.

As long as nobody is being harmed let your thoughts run wild.

This turns on my mind.

This too.

I think I just have an obsession with anything and everything controversial and/or morbid. It's not so much the controversy or morbidity but the concept of how people react to these types of topics. The way they run away in fear is enough to get me curious.

I have had an obsession with nuclear explosions before. I'm not so interested now but I used to read anything I could find about Chornobyl and the nearby town of Pripyat. The Hiroshima bombs as well. Now I have a habit of searching the internet for non deadly pictures of house fires/derilict buildings etc. If someone died in the fire, I am more sensitive.

I've certainly had a long standing interest in societies illogical, hypocritical and extremely blinkered view on many "taboo" or illegal subjects. These can range hugely but to give a few samples -

Someone speeds and gets a fine, someone else speeds and kills a kid, he gets 2 years in jail. The difference? Luck. Why doesn't society have the balls to jail the first guy also, or fine the 2nd? Is it fair that "justice" comes down to luck? Shouldn't you be a criminal or not based on your actions, not the result of your actions + luck?

It's ok to kill people in a computer game, but not rape them, or torture animals. Becuase killing a person is a much lesser crime?

The stupidly over the top and dangerous hysteric reaction to pedofiles across western society.

Why society want to be lied to by their politicians becuase they don't want the facts and can't face the truth, then complain when they're lied to.

It's ok to eat meat but not to see/show/talk about killing animals.

Parents can let their children do something that is dangerous, then the moment something bad happens stop them and get angry. Hello you are a shockingly bad parent if you didn't consider the risk before hand, if you did then the fact it happened changes nothing.

There's a ton of others

Unusual human forms fascinate me too. I loved the scene with the deformed people in Alien Resurrection.

I also once had a huge obsession with death and mutilation. I couldn't shut up about it...I pissed off the one friend in my life at the time with that one.

And I was fascinated with things like lobotomy, I wondered what you would feel like if you had had that done to you.

I have an on-off interest with gore and violence, as well as hospitals. I'm a very odd girl

Yay! I'm not the only one!

Guns are somewhat controversial and that's my main interest and always has been. The fact that there are those opposed to such an obsession only fuels the fire.

Yep, I have a controversial obsession, though I didn't realize it was controversial until people started re-interpreting what I said into something totally different. People are funny that way. If there's a strongly-felt association between two things, they'll interpret one as necessarily accompanying the other.

I decided to stop talking about it when I realized talking about it caused people to misunderstand me. They weren't hearing what I was saying anyway, only what was in their heads, so what was the point? It's hard enough to deal with people without being maligned (and incorrectly, to wit).

There is one problem with decapitation, while you might not feel a thing, your head remains conscious for a couple of minutes after decapitation. Technically painless, but still deeply disturbing.

To say yes would be an understatement. I don't have much money, so I'm still a beginner.
