This video sure shows the difference between autistics getting bullied and normal kids. I was never beaten up but it might have headed there if we didn't move to Montana. Kids were nicer out there and they left me be. I think it was because one we live in a small town and two, I was in special ed. They would have stuck out more if they beat me up or picked on me, they would have made themselves look bad because I was in special ed. But my pesky neighbor, he was targeted to get picked on and he had ADHD but he wasn't in special ed. His mom refused to have him be put on the IEP or else he be in special ed.

I can relate to the "Hey baby where you're nappies?" whatever they said. I used to take that kind of teasing literal and kids would laugh when I correct them and I thought they were stupid. I didn't get bullied in middle school or high school really. I got some teasing and that's it. And kids trying to get me to do things for them like beat someone up for them. I don't know if they were trying to get me into trouble or if they thought I would get away with it because I was in special ed. But I noticed how they didn't seem to tell other special ed kids to beat someone up for them so why me? I did call them out on that and they said they would all get into trouble expect me because "I'm special."

If I were a crown prosecutor and people chased someone out like Aimless mentioned because the kid had AS, I wouldnt hesitate to bring ALL of those kids up on HATE CRIME CHARGES on the basis of committing violent acts against a person based on disability and those who were even just calling the kid names or egging the bullies on , would be charged with aiding and abetting.I would make sure everyone of them had to appear in court and answer to a judge for their crimes. The teacher who refused to acknowledge it would be charged with breach of trust and abuse and will not be able to say she didn't know when she was made well aware.Willful blindness is no excuse and is not a defence in court.

thank you for posting the video superboyian. it brings up a lot of emotion.

thankfully i have not been physically bullied; taunting and exclusion, and being used, can cut just as deep... and, like many others i am certain, it seems to have followed me into adult hood.

Am I the only one that seemed to never be bullied at all?

Nope, never had it happen either. Maybe we're too stealthy and blended in. Or maybe we're ninjas, I think we're ninjas.

*vanish*

By the sounds of things, I think so.... But there are other aspies out there who haven't been bullied in their life which they seem to have been lucky and it seems like that you are considered as one of the lucky ones then. :D

You're welcome tektek....

I have also been mentally bullied aswell, or in other words, emotionally bullied in so many ways and it still happens to me today which is why I get so depressed at occasionally but not as much as I used to but it still hurts though that it growing up with me and that is painful enough.

I think it might have also been the schools I have gone to and the friends around me who seemed to protect me.
