Weird, I've never heard this metioned by anyone else until now. :)

I always do this too. Instead of focusing on topics directly related to what's being discussed, I'll skim through every possible direction the conversation can evolve into, make a mental note of all the topics that interest me, arrange them from most to least interesting, and randomly bring them all up in that order, while simultaneously adding more topics based off of the new possible tangeant of discussion to what I'm saving for later. Usually when this happens, and I'm through with my monologuing, I've essentially gone through a huge list of everthing I find interesting. I don't understand why people don't like this, and why they'd rather discover these things over the course of many, many naturally evolving conversations which can leave them both stuck on a boring topic at times... It seems a lot more effective the other way. :?

That's why I loved physics so much, and math now, everything is sewn out of the same background fabric, and I'm good at picking out the patterns in the weave.
