LOL! At least you have a sense of humor about your fear.

I'm not afraid of bees (though I've never had to deal with killer bees). My grandpa was a beekeeper, and I learned to be kind to them from the time I was very little (I lived with my grandparents). I love bees and find it a shame when one dies. Especially considering they are mysteriously dying from some unknown cause and if they're taken out, we're in trouble.

I don't mind bees as much, because they tend to keep to themselves (although I had an epic meltdown of fear when one suddenly appeared in my boyfriend's truck, I thought it was a wasp at first; although I think that my fear was more for my boyfriend, who is anaphylactic to both).

I really hate wasps, though. Especially when they buzz in your ear. During August and September where I live, there's nothing but wasps. Their food supply dries up and they start swarming around garbage cans.

I don't mind bees, but the bug I hate the most are those Japanese beetles as they bump into things, and me. If I see one on the patio, I close the sliding door because they could fly through the kitty door. I also hate cockroaches, especially the ones that fly.

Once, I was on vacation in Mississippi and I saw a cicada on the ground, and when it moved, it scared the crap out of me because it was huge, and very noisy.

No, I always loved bugs~
Some spiders are really creepy, but most crawly things I don't mind at all.

I am mortally terrified of spiders but anything that might kill me of my own side or bigger do not bother me, indeed I am most fond of some of them

I used to play with woodlice. I still like them.

Bees are really nice if you can get them to settle on you.

Wasps are incurable psychopaths.

Couldn't agree more. Centipedes scare the life out of me. I usually don't mind bugs but centipedes are the exception. Way too many legs and they move unnaturally fast. I prefer to catch and release bugs instead of killing them, and a centipede can throw me into a panic because they're nearly impossible to catch and even once you catch it then you have to carry it outside and it's so close to your body and *shudder* just the thought of this is seriously freaking me out.

Daddy long legs used to creep me out and maybe they still do, but I haven't seen one in years. Their legs are just so long and they are really freaky looking.

I've also recently acquired a fear of silverfish after having had one in my ear for a day. I saw one on the floor a few days ago and I freaked out and tried to get my dog to eat it so I didn't have to go near it  (he didn't, he's a gentle giant... or more like a big wuss)

My cousin (who I strongly suspect to have AS) is really scared of bees, and I think moths as well. But I know bees for sure, he doesn't go outside much because of it. Personally, I think they're quite pretty. I actually think most insects/spiders/etc are truly fascinating.

I'm terrified of bugs & insects. I always have been, especially of beetles. But when I saw the movie "The Craft" when I was about 11 or 12, it got much worse. The ending scene where Nancy gets covered in all kinds of insects still terrifies me to even think about it. The only bugs I'm not really afraid of are ladybugs, lightning bugs (aka fireflies) & potato bugs & even they can creep me out sometimes, especially when lightning bugs & lady bugs start flying around me. At the same time, though, if I ever happen across a bug in my house, I always try to gently escort them out of my house lol. I know they're not trying to hurt me &, for the most part, they don't want to be in my house anymore than I want them in my house.

I absolutely ADORE bees, especially bumblebees, if I ever find tired out bees or wasps, I take them into the kitchen, I put a small drop of maple syrup on the end of a cocktail stick, and they go berserk for it, you can watch a bee sit calmly on your finger while madly licking up the syrup with his little tongue.....I've had wasps sit on my fingers calmly, bumblebees wander about on my palm (it's so tickly!)

Then once they've gotten their energy back from the syrup, I open the window and gently coax them to fly off my hands, it's a great sight to watch them fly off all recharged!

The only insecty-type thing I don't like are centipedes, that's because I got stung by one when I was 7 and i've never really liked them since, plus the huge ones you get in the likes of Indonesia really creep me out.

I hate bugs, I don't care how harmless they are. They creep me the F out, especially the ones that look like tiny alien demons. Spiders send me into a panic.

When I was a kid a cousin of mine would chase me around with a locust shell. NOT COOL.

I've also had a roach fly up my shirt. *shudder*

Cockroaches, the big palmetto bugs, not the little German ones. It's perfectly rational -- those things fly! <shudder>

Uh I get absolutely nauseous over those. ewwww, and spiders. I hate bees or anything the buzzes at my head. If I know it is a June bug or cicada I am OK, but if i hear the buzzing and dont know I will totally freak out.

When I was in Germany they had these giant hornets that made me cry and freak out really bad. One got in my apartment, and I shut myself and my daughter (infant at the time) in the bedroom. It finally left, but I dont know what I would have done if it hadn't.
