There is that, but I think it is worse than that in that it is not only trying to figure out that it is the right time to talk but that there is also supposed to be some sort of non-verbal communication from our side that lets THEM know we are going to talk. No clue how to do that though.

Is there really? Well, that sucks. Here I've been spending my time just trying to keep from saying the next thing too soon or too late and they've been waiting for me to show I'm about to talk? Man, why do I even try to have a conversation? Can someone write this down somewhere? Maybe make a video? It hardly seems fair.

it's even worse when a topic that i'm interested in is talked about. i still want to talk about the topic even when the subject changes and i keep trying to go back to the original topic. i daze off and stop caring about conversation. even worse when it's a one on one conversation.

me:"yeah, oh really? you've stopped dying your hair?" thinks: entymology does seem quite a fascinating subject
other person: "yeah, the new roots are coming in."
people seem to have undeniable fears of cockroaches "Yeah, roots."
"It looks bad."
i think i read they have grease on their legs. "yeah, bad."
"My hair's so dry."
"not unlike cockroach legs."
"Uh, yeah...cockroaches scare me. so yeah my roots..."
arghhh...
