I have written and performed stand up comedy and yet.................I often DON'T know when people are joking or being serious and.............I tend to answer rhetorical questions..............

Reminds me of the oh so sensitive comment that a teacher made about me when I was in elementary school, top of the class in maths and French and struggling with English (my native language) :!:

'Comprehension is nil'

He was of course correct but......it seemed that I was the only one who thought this was somewhat out of balance and made NO sense :roll:

If you mean jokes which amuse me: yes, and in general my friends have always been those who "got the joke" too.

I've got a wicked sense of timing, to the point of being compelled to complete a joke I see forming in my head, which is often not the "proper" thing to do. I don't care, if it's funny, I'm doing/saying it.

Another time we were talking and I said how I was more NT when I had my miscarriage because I was able to express my feelings well and my husband wished I could be that way more often. So I told him I should have more miscarriages. He said "NO" and then he was upset.

*high 5*

Totally my sense of humor, as my girlfriend clarified for me: "Your humor is another of your filters, it makes most people really uncomfortable, the rest wind up loving you."

I was out with a friend at a golf course a few years ago. We were having a drink with the owner and his rather attractive (to say the least) Asian wife.

It was already dark and whilst in the middle of one of my diatribes swallowed a small insect/mosquito sized.

I blurted without any preparation or thought as to propriety;

'I swallowed a fly! I never swallow!.

Everyone seemed to find it funny............. fortunately :arrow:

NT and an Aspie friend walk into a Chinese restaurant.

Aspie asks NT; 'What do you see?'

NT replies: 'Chinese people; what do you see?'

Aspie replies; 'Families'................and then adds................'it's too noisy, I'm leaving' :arrow:
