I've never bothered with special diets, the only "problem" I've really had which one of those could apparently change is my ears going red, and not only am I unsure if that even still happens, but I don't care enough to change my diet because of it.

I didn't have any problems with food at age 15, either. I hope you don't develop problems as you age. I did. I used to be able to eat pretty much anything. Now I'm much more limited.

I hope not! I like my food!

I hope not, too! There are a lot of foods I miss and sometimes I even "cheat" but I really pay for it afterwards and then don't cheat for a long time because I don't want to be so sick again. I definitely wouldn't wish this on anybody!

But just in case, really relish your food now. Enjoy the heck out of it in case you can't later. I wouldn't be surprised if many of the other people in their 30s and 40s (and up) posting in this thread used to be able to eat whatever they wanted, too, until they hit a certain age. It's not that uncommon at all for food intolerances to pop up in people's forties. They were there all along but it took decades of eating foods they were intolerant of for it to build up to a problem level.

And since those of us on the spectrum have a higher chance of having a food intolerance . . . really enjoy your food! And I honestly do hope that you're a lucky one who doesn't have problems later. Because it sucks.

My diet changes, from day to day. When I'm doing well, I eat three meals. When I'm not happy, I have Slim-Fast, for breakfast and lunch.
