Sometimes I've felt a bit uneasy with some of the NT-aimed comments myself. Parts of me very much do fit that category and I'm certainly not out to cause anyone any grief. :-/
That said, I truly think there's something in my mode of thought that makes me relate better in some instances to people on the spectrum than those off of it. I am just an odd creature, I think, not particularly one thing or the other.
