I understand, some people I know wont use MSN at all. It's annoying, and these same people also don't use Facebook or other social networking sites. Yet, everyone I know who uses the internet has one thing in common: they have e-mail accounts.
I've never used social networking sites, I can't claim they don't have an advantage over chat services or e-mail. I'm certain they -must- make some things a bit easier, but does it really make keeping in touch that much easier or worth it?
edit: minor typo

It's somewhat like saying that we don't need e-mail since we can easily use the postal service... We know the postal service is slow and people started to prefer e-mail to spread messages faster. It's just the evolution of communication. What Facebook and other sites claim to do is to provide a method of communicating with many different people and managing one's contacts. I doubt people in general are signing up on Facebook only for the games and other time wasters one can find there.

Zzzzzzzzzzzz.... Yea. That's why I'm rarely motivated to log on to facebook. I used to go on and play games but then I got bored of that.
My only point in having a facebook page is so old friends can find my contact info and I can find theirs. I'll update my profile if I move or something. Otherwise I just neglect it.
