I am 32 years old and have both. I am also in the 4th month of my 4th pregnancy. I am not aware of any definite connection, but it seems to have an autoimmune connection to me. I've always had the issues along with my knees buckling and swelling since around 11 years old, but my issues were severely worse after I had Mononucleosis at around 15 years old. I had other issues with extremely swollen lymph nodes and psoriasis in the two years following. My skin finally seemed to clear up, the swelling of my lymph nodes went away for the most part, but the narcolepsy and its baggage has got much worse , and now the cataplexy, pain, and swelling in my knees are beginning again. I also have reason to believe I'm having trouble with my sugar levels and possibly thyroid problems as well.

When relaxed I don't fall asleep as such but I do enjoy the relaxation so much, that I use it as a form of meditation. Like when getting my hair cut, I go into relaxation, and don't want to make conversation with the hairdresser. My voice becomes too relaxed to use.

I know it's been several years but I too have both narcolepsy and Asperger's. I was starting to think I was the only one. I don't know if there's any connection between the two but I've read many articles by people who think there is. I'm in college studying to be a neurologist, hopefully that will help me understand both disorders better.
