I guess "opinionated" doesn't mean "having some opinions" but "having exceptionally strong opinions on most matters." Perhaps "over-opinionated" would be a better term.

Haha you bet we are. A lot of people don't like me because I speak my mind, but then again, some people do respect me for it.

I can be pretty opinionated, infact, sometimes it's a bit hard for me to tell between fact and opinion, I am getting better though!

Yes, I think so.

I suspect that it's to do with many Aspies feeling they have an excellent grasp of, and a staunch allegiance to, logic. Perhaps considerably more so than most NT's (this may well be true). Therefore they may feel like their view is not an "opinion" any more than 2 + 2 = 4 is an "opinion". They likely consider their view as logical, evidence based fact, otherwise they wouldn't hold it. So saying "well maybe you're right, we all have our valid opinions" just seems totally fake and inappropriate. Facts come before peacemaking. Does that sound familiar to others?

want to know if i'm opinionated? go check out the parenting forum. i'm General Pain-in-the-ass. can't seem to be able to stop myself even if it means having everybody hate me.
And i second maolcolm , i want to be proven wrong if i am indeed wrong, i get equally annoyed when someone tells me they respect my opinion but have a different one. It's like dodging the conversation , it's rude and dismissive....

Oh yes, and I've gotten myself into plenty of trouble for it...

I have been told I would "argue with a dead man" since I first started to learn to speak at four.

I was always very opinionated, especially when it came to everything. My doctor is trying to teach me "acceptance", but I'm having a hard time! ><
