Meet ups and downs topic

Many threads about meeting have popped up in the three years I have been here. Much of it fizzles after a few posts.

I think there is something called skype, using a mini camera on top of one's screen. Another aspie asked me about this months ago. We live on different continents. Then it never happened, so I returned the camera. No use having something not being used.

I like the bunch on PPR, the irregulars. Interesting and informative. But I am so used to writing, I would not know what to [i]say!!

you are a compassionate person. your nervousness meeting new people is a defense mechanism, pay attention to what the vibes tell you.

Yeah, I always trust my gut. I'm so hesitant to meet people because so often they seem to want more than I can give them. It's overwhelming and makes me get a knot in my stomach.

I don't think you'd make me too nervous, though. You're very sincere.

when i am not being stressed out by something or somebody in my environment. i have a relatively low stress threshold. :roll:

I have no interest in meeting anyone.

Not because they're all dicks (I mean, sure, they are all dicks, but that's not the reason) but because I have this thing called autism that leaves me somewhat disinterested in ordinary social interactions.

I'd meet PunkyKat, because she and I seem to have similar special interests. While our special interest subjects are different, the intensity and quality of our special interests seem to be a lot alike.
