I can't stand hip hop, it gives me headache..oO

glenn miller, YAY :D
how 'bout tommy dorsey? he was a superior bandleader and a trombonist sans peer.

Count Basie is the closest to that era as far as my own taste goes.

YAY for the Count! he was called that because he had a peerless sense of tempo and timing. fats waller taught him how to play the wurlitzer [theatrical organ] and he later migrated to the early hammonds. i have in my collection a neat little gem of a recording his band did, called "the flat-foot floogie" that is a real hoot to listen to. his atomic band mixed rock n' roll with big band jazz, a great combo that was repeated a decade later with BS&T and chicago.

Eminem. I wouldn't be surprised if he seeked a diagnosis for AS or was diagnosed. A LOT of his songs have a very AS theme to them.

Nice.
I forgot to put down Herman's Hermits. They're kinda fun.

I bought a magazine today with a big article on The Kinks and a sampler CD dedicated to Ray Davies. I need to make some time to read it though.

I took a photo:

I'm going to look for that issue on Monday.
