Everyone listens to 1 song over and over until they get sick of it.

Yes, the repetitiveness calms me down from meltdowns and can prevent me from having them. I often have to do it to block out other people on public transport or when walking through crowds and or if I am going into a new situation on my own. All songs have a repetitive threshold for me, some I can only listen to a couple of times and these will not be songs that calm me down - the songs that I am able to repeat I will have listened to several times an hour or day for several years and they still have wear in them yet.

I also have fixations on parts of songs and will continually scroll them back to hear the same couple of bars played out.

I tend to completely obsess over music. As in, I listen to an album, song, or band constantly for months on end and talk about them endlessly. And keeping with this trend, I am posting a video link for a Florence + the machine cover of "Hospital Beds" by the Cold War Kids. Because it is freaking awesome, so yeah watch it.
