i can hear the full range of those sounds; although from 19kHz and up, i need to wait for it to gain a little power (about 1 second longer then the lower sounds (load-time).
and i'm 24 y/o, so...

Maybe my current setup is crap. I can barely hear 12kHz. The headphone output on this PC is broken so I had to use line out which doesn't have the suitable impedance and voltage to drive a headphone. I'm working on a substitute amp but so many unfinished projects...

Another handicap is that I constantly hear a similar high-pitch sound in my ears after I've been in a noisy environment for long (PC noises, talking, stupid radio on all day) and after while my ears are tired of them.

I can hear them all, but 20khz is very quiet, and 21khz isn't much louder.
All the rest though were perfectly audible, and pretty fun too! They were quite 'moreish', even a little addictive.

I'm 34 and I could barely hear 14. My 11yo Aspie son was next to me, I did 15 and he covered his ears. He walked away a few steps, I hit 16 and he covered his ears, and started crying and rocking back and forth. Needless to say, we won't be trying that again.

ETA ages like OP asked.

I'm 17 and only hear up to 15khz. The sounds I can hear there are extemely painful though.

Hmm, I think there are other harmonics in with the pure tone - along with the start and end clicks. Probably due to whatever preamp / amp / speaker combo you use.

Certainly hear up to 17.4kHz, which isn't bad for an over 35 yo ! But I 'sense' some of the others in a way I can't quite describe. It's like it's uncomfortable when they're on, but I don't consciously think I am 'hearing' something. My head now hurts so health warnings maybe should apply to dinos too. :?

Interestingly, if I have the sounds on speakers and move my head, I can hear the 18 & 19 kHz ones and as I don't think I can move my head fast enough to Doppler shift them down by more than 1kHz I wonder why that should be the case.

15 kHz and I'm 50.

My upper frequency has always been high for my age. Florescent tubes and TV tubes used to annoy me terribly as a kid. Clearly my upper limit has gone down now but still high for my age. The 15 kHz was painfully loud. Oddly I couldn't hear the 16 kHz at all.

An NT friend with the same age as me cannot hear grasshoppers chirping in the evening; he strains as though trying to hear something incredibly faint and he cannot hear them at all! He simply doesn't believe me when I tell him how loud they are (a real cacophony! ) and I can point out where the sound of each one is coming from in the grass. I don't know what frequency they chirp at. Younger people have no problem hearing them either.

I can only hear to 17khz but I have tinnitus so I'm not a real good judge. I also damaged my hearing with loud headphones and too many concerts. I'm 43.

My 9yo can only hear two levels higher. (and she wasn't too happy about it - now I know how dog whistles work...) She has normal hearing.

We both have auditory processing disorder as well.

I know its weird but I couldn't 'hear' anything above 17khz but I could 'feel' each sound all the way down to 22khz. I'd liken it to the feeling I get when passing under high tension powerlines. It's like a pressure/second hand 'sound' in my middle ear. The powerlines also cause an uncomfortable all over sensation as well and I''m noticing as I type this that I'm getting that uticaria/pressure feeling in my arms now that I listened to those tones. Hmmmmmm...

Science geeks?

I can only hear the 10khz. I am 42.

I'm not surprised. I listened to way too much loud music as a kid and ruined my hearing.

I used to have really sharp hearing (not sure how sharp) but I listened to a lot of loud music and lost some range.

Okay, I corrected my computer's volume. It was really, really low and messed up my earlier:

19khz is like a tiny dentist's drill in the back of my skull and I could hear 21khz as a faint whine. One weird thing was that I could hear 17.4khz better than 17khz. 15khz was the last loud tone - depending on volume I can get out of my phone, I'd probably go for 15khz.

Also, I have tinnitus, which probably interferes with hearing some of the tones.

Unfortunately, it is impossible to download the ringtones to my phone.

Interesting. I was doing this a few weeks ago.

I can hear them all. The 22khz is faint. I'm 36.

Also, my speakers are only rated to 20khz.

I'm 18 and I can only hear up to 16 kHz. Not sure if this is because of my ears or these speakers.

Edit: On re-listening, I can hear up to 22 kHz, but only faintly. A lot of anomalies can also be explained by the quality of the audio format.
