I described it to my gp as feeling like I'm speaking French, but everyone else is English, and whilst I've picked up a lot of the language, I still miss nuances, slang and body language cues  .

Sure, I'll be myself. I give you about 5 minutes before you get sick of me pointing out everything you say/write that is either grammatically incorrect, factually incorrect, logically inconsistent, or nonsensical. If that doesn't do it, my lecture on why it is important to consider such factors when speaking will.

That's a somewhat narrow and arbitrary self-definition, no?

And if you're questioning the demonstrable fact that the correctness or otherwise of spoken language has been proven to be defined solely by what various people do with it, I'd ask - On what basis?

"Always be yourself" because: some will still like you for simply being yourself; and some will always hate you for simply being yourself! THIS IS TRUE! :D

I always say that to myself. When I was younger it used to make me depressed because I was never good enough. Not that Im older, well....quite frankly, I don't give a damn!
Im me, there's nothing I can do about it. Some people like me, most people don't. Im ok with it, but it still gets me agitated sometimes.
At least Im not living in a third world country. Starving to death while living in a disease infested hut in the middle of the jungle.
On that note, I pity the Ethiopian with Aspergers.
