This is kind of unrelated, but recently I've had an IQ test on a few things & scored 6 on one, 10 on another one & 17 on another one. Not good ey? But I don't think IQ's are accuate. I think I did understand a lot of the questions, took long to think of the answers in a short space of time & I think the maths brought it down too. For I really, really, really struggle with maths. And no matter how hard my maths is worked I can only improve by a tiny bit.

6? An IQ of 6? I don't even know if that is possible. Even people with an IQ of 60 would find using a computer perplexing. I don't know if a person with an IQ of 6 would even be able to understand what a computer is. Unless I am misunderstanding something....

I got my IQ tested recently & it came to 81

Oh that's baloney. I've read your posts on WP and you're a very intelligent man. Who administered the test? Zombies?

You could try a non verbal home test, like mensa, and give yourself a little more time, - and be quick to move to the next question. Don´t wonder about it too long, - just go on. If there is time left, you can return to the questions, you didn´t make at first.

Look at this:

Best non verbal test:
http://www.iqtest.dk/main.swf

Enjoy. Play with it/them

I haven't been on WP too long, but I have noticed a tendency for Aspies to brag about their alleged I.Q.s and the strange ways their minds work. And I write this with a good deal of self-accusation, because I was doing that on a few other forums, and I apologize. Admittedly it is fun for us Aspies to compare how our brains work. I really appreciate you photo-realistic thinkers out there, and the synesthetes seem cool. In fact, that's probably a good thing. It's nice to know we can form a community in this way. But I.Q. contests create a false pecking order among those of us who are autistic. Which is not the purpose of WP at all. I want to be able to appreciate everyone on this site.

You´re right about that. Comparison of many kinds is not only a sport and fun. It is a good tool for understanding, but you are right about the IQ "contest" and the danger of false pecking order.

Got a 105 on that non-verbal test. :( That test was hard.

In my case it's more like, "Genius by birth; but bipolar and anxiety shut me down...."
