I do not like it when people assume that a self-diagnosis is worthless, or that the lack of a professional one means the person must not have it.

Not all of us have access to the money it would take to visit enough doctors to get a diagnosis. I saw a lot of shrinks as a kid, but that was in the '80s and early '90s when Asperger's diagnoses were far less common. The only time I see a doctor nowadays is if something is broken, or I'm bleeding and can't make it stop.

i hate when people assume because i have a tough time with social cues/situations , that i dont want to be social

i like social interaction but i suck at it

I hate when people see me stimming in public or see me have a meltdown and assume I'm low functioning. It usually leads to them talking VERY slowly to me and offering me candy or some other idiotic thing.
