What he said about ADD/ADHD is usually right on target. Kids get diagnosed as part of the "pity me I'm disabled" trend when they don't even have any disorder. It's a scheme for counselors and pharmecuetical companies to make money off of. If ADD/ADHD is a disorder, it's so minor that you won't even collect a government check for it if your diagnosed with it, and society isn't gonna treat you like a freak for being "ADD". The president of the US could have it.
Not to derail the thread or anything, but pushy (and rich) parents are often taking their kids to get an ADD/ADHD diagnosis simply to give their kids an advantage in school. If they get their kid an ADD diagnosis, then their kid can take tests untimed, especially the SATs. If their kids take the SATs untimed, then they can get a higher score and get into a better college. The whole thing makes me ill.
