For an Aspie theme song, I sort of prefer "Subdivisions" by Rush. That Weird Al song though is quite amusing, and of course is much more up to date!

Somebody could easily abapt this song for auties, by the old 1960,s Aussie folk group, "The Seekers"
(The Seekers, very very nerdy indeed)

A WORLD OF OUR OWN

Close the doors, light the lights.
We're stayin' home tonight,
far away from the bustle and the bright city lights.
Let them all fade away.
Just leave us alone.
And we'll live in a world of our own.

We'll build a world of our own

that no one else can share.
All our sorrows we'll leave far behind us there.
And I know you will find
there'll be peace of mind
when we live in a world of our own.

Oh my love, oh my love, (just imagine a video of me hugging a antique earth globe)
I cried for you so much.
Lonely nights without sleeping while I longed for your touch.
Now your lips can erase
the heartache I've known.
Come with me to a world of our own.

We'll build a world of our own
that no one else can share.
All our sorrows we'll leave far behind us there.
And I know you will find
there'll be peace of mind
when we live in a world of our own.

(musical interlude)

We'll build a world of our own
that no one else can share.
All our sorrows we'll leave far behind us there.
And I know you will find
there'll be peace of mind
when we live in a world of our own.

And I know you will find
there'll be peace of mind
when we live in a world of our own!

It's just a coincidence that we're in the same threads all the time.

When I was thirteen, "People In Love" by Sailor was one of my favourite songs (mostly because I liked the line "fools and well-trained scientists"). If it is true that Aspies are "in love" with their special interests, then this is really the perfect Aspie song:

People in love - they don't care about the late night news
They don't ever get the midnight blues
Of lonely, sleepless nights.
People in love - they don't need to go to fancy do's
Or spend their money on a package cruise
They'd rather stay at home - just to be alone!

For they've got that magic recipe
The kind that no one can buy
And only fools and well-trained scientists
Keep on wondering why!
People - people in love
People - people in love

People in love - they don't care about the neighbour's lawn
Being sprinkled every early dawn
Putting theirs to shame.
People in love - they've got better things to do in life
Than playing out the part of man and wife
And let the garden hide all that's wrong inside!

For they've got that magic recipe
The kind that no one can buy
And only fools and well-trained scientists
Keep on wondering why!
People - people in love
People - people in love

Funny. I heard a song just the other day, one even older than this thread, and thought how it just shouted "Aspie".

It's a 1960s song by the Move called "I can hear the grass grow"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q7oUwPIWCYI

Some of the lyrics I can make out:

"See the people all in line,
what's making them look at me?
Can't imagine that their minds
are thinking the same as me."

As well as that title, the chorus includes "I see rainbows in the evening" and "can't seem to puzzle out the signs"

How about "Without Me" by Eminem?

Although most members here do not listen to rap....
